NEXT DIRECTORY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Application Details

I understand that a credit account will be opened for me and that there will be a £3.75 charge for the Next Directory which will be invoiced later. I confirm that I am over 18 and UK resident. I understand that a Card may be issued to me to allow me to use my Account in store to return, exchange or purchase. (Store transactions will be charged to your account normally within 1 day of purchase and purchases from the Next Directory will be charged 10 days after the goods are despatched.)
We will make searches about you at credit reference agencies who will supply us with credit information, as well as information from the Electoral Register.
The agencies will record details of the search, whether or not credit is granted.
We may use credit scoring methods to assess your application and to verify your identity.
Credit searches and other information which is provided to us and/or the credit reference agencies, about you and those with whom you are linked financially, may be used by Next Directory and other companies if credit decisions are made about you or other members of your household.
This information may also be used for debt tracing and the prevention of money laundering as well as the management of your account.
Information held about you by the credit reference agencies may already be linked to records relating to people with whom you are linked financially.
For the purposes of credit searching you may be treated as financially linked and you will reassess with reference to any “associated” records.
If we enter into a credit agreement with you we will also supply details of your agreement with us to the credit reference agencies, as well ongoing details of your account and how you manage it.
If you do not repay on time, or in full, we will tell the credit reference agencies who will record details of the debt.
All this information will be seen by other organisations carrying out later searches.
You have the right of access to your personal records held by credit reference agencies and we will supply their names and address upon request to the Data Protection Manager, Next Directory, Desford Road, Enderby, Leicester, LE19 4AT or via dataprotection@next.co.uk.
The credit reference agencies may also use the records for statistical analysis about credit, insurance and fraud.
We may make periodic searches of group record and credit reference agencies to manage your account with us, to take decisions regarding credit, including whether to make credit available or to continue or to extend existing credit.
These searches will not be available to other lenders for credit assessment purposes.
We may also use your information, including shopping habits, to open and run your credit account including payment recovery, fraud prevention and debt tracing and for our marketing.
We may contact you for marketing purposes by mail, telephone, email or otherwise.
Next Directory is a trading name of Next retail Ltd and a member of Next Group Plc. Some of the information you provide may be transferred outside the European Economic Area for processing. However, strict rules regarding the confidentiality of security of your information are in place to safeguard it.

Next Day Delivery

The next day delivery service applies on orders placed before 5pm Monday – Friday. Orders placed Saturday and up to 5pm Sunday will be delivered on Monday. The next day delivery service is only available in our courier areas and is subject to stock availability. Where the personal courier service is not available, Next will deliver by an alternative carrier and this may take longer. Larger items such as furniture and more valuable items are excluded from the personal courier service. Excludes Sunday deliveries. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed. Next Day Delivery does not apply during the Sale Period.

Next Day Delivery ( Fresh Flowers & Wine )

Most fresh flower orders placed before 5pm can be delivered the next day. Flowers ordered between 5pm Friday and noon on Saturday will be delivered Monday and orders after Noon on Saturday and 5pm Monday will be delivered Tuesday. No deliveries are made on Bank Holidays or the day following a Bank Holiday. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed.

Delivery Charges

Your order will be delivered in special Next packaging. Our delivery charge is just £3.95 no matter how large your order with the exception of Fresh Flowers and selected Home items. Delivery charges for selected large home items are £3.95 within mainland UK, (Northern Ireland £20, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Scottish Islands, Scilly Islands £35. Other offshore islands £35). With the exception of BFPO addresses we do not deliver outside the United Kingdom.

Delivery Charges ( Fresh Flowers & Wine )

Fresh flower orders will be delivered in special Next packaging. Our delivery charge is just £3.95 per bouquet, including any gifts. Wine delivery is £3.95 per box. We do not deliver outside mainland UK (For flowers this includes BFPO addresses).

Offer Order Codes

Free Delivery and other offer order codes remain the property of Next Directory, are non-transferable and may not be reproduced in any form or used in conjunction with any other offer.

Store Collections

This service is available at over 240 Next stores. Not available on first order, or for sofas and selected furniture items.

Cancellations

Fresh flower cancellations and changes are possible up to 48 hours prior to delivery. ( See also Return of Selected Items below )

Free Returns

Returns are free of charge. Just return any unused item within 10 days for a full refund to your Next Directory account (this does not affect your statutory rights). Choose:

Returns by Courier

Simply call 0844 844 8000 to arrange for your courier to collect the items from your home. Items left for the courier to collect are at your own risk. Items will not be credited back to your Next Directory account unless and until they are received by Next Directory.

Returns by Post

A pre paid label will be enclosed in your parcel.

Returns by Store

You can return through our participating stores.

If you are returning an item via a store please take your delivery note with you. For details of your nearest store call 0844 844 8333. We can only accept the return of cosmetics, flowers and pierced earrings if they are found to be faulty. The returned goods will be credited to your account. (Please allow 28 days for the credit to appear on your account). This approval period does not apply to certain jewellery, cosmetics, grooming or food products, made to order home items or flowers or Directory Card purchases in store or Gift Vouchers . These may only be returned if they are faulty. We cannot accept any returns through our airport stores. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Return of selected items including furniture and upholstery items

We are unable to accept the return of large bulky items ordered via the Next Directory or exchange these items through our stores. We cannot accept any returns through out airport stores. A non-refundable collection charge of £30.00 will be applied to selected furniture items if returned or if delivery is refused unless the product is faulty. Gift vouchers cannot be returned or exchanged for cash. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Made to order items or cosmetics and grooming products, food, alcohol gifts, flowers and certain jewellery can only be returned if found to be faulty. Self assembly furniture cannot be returned if assembly is part or fully completed unless the item is faulty. Bed, mattresses, divans, duvets and pillows cannot be returned if unwrapped unless faulty. Your statutory rights are not affected. For each upholstery order a non refundable deposit of 10% of the total value of the order will be charged to your account 10 days after the date of your order.

Next Directory Flexible Account allows you to spread the cost (subject to status & approval APR 26.49% (variable)).

We accept all major credit and debit cards (excluding Switch).

Call 0800 587 7758 and key in your SelfServe number (shown on your statement or delivery note) to make your payment.

By cheque

Cheques should be made payable to Next and posted to P. O. Box 4000, Rotherham, S97 3ET.

Returns by Courier

Items left for the courier to collect are at your own risk. Items will not be credited back to your Next Directory account unless and until they are received by Next Directory.

Prices

The prices quoted are those ruling at the time of production. Due to circumstances beyond our control prices may have to be altered up or down, including any alterations to the rate of value added tax. The correct price will be shown on your delivery note. If for this, or any other reason, an item is not acceptable, it may be returned providing it is sent back within fourteen days and is in new condition. Certain products cannot be returned. See section above, for details. All prices shown are cash prices in sterling. On return of selected items there is a service charge on extended credit accounts (APR 26.49% variable). We reserve the right to alter or amend the credit charges, to withdraw credit, to accept or reject orders, to refuse applications or with prior written notice to close an account. Prices of goods displayed in and ordered through the Directory may differ from prices instore.

Code of Practice

We subscribe to the Code of Practice established by the Mail Order Traders' Association. We undertake to deal with any complaint speedily and sympathetically. If a complaint cannot be resolved to your complete satisfaction, we or you can refer the problem for conclusion to The Director, The Mail Order Traders' Association, PO Box 51909, London, SW99 0WZ. Next Directory is a member of the Direct Marketing Association (UK) Ltd (DMA) and is required to operate within the rules of the DMA’s Code of Practice which was developed in consultation with the Office of Fair Trading and the Information Commissioner. The Code is administered by the Independent Direct Marketing Authority.

Availability

All orders for products are subject to availability. In the event of seasonal supply difficulties of fresh flowers we reserve the right to substitute flowers and packaging of equal quality and value. For the champagne sent with fresh flowers, vintages and labels may vary from those shown.

Colour Reproduction

Next designers and Next Flowers take great care with the colours used in the collections and all bouquets. The limitations of colour reproduction and the individual colour settings of your screen may mean a slight variation. Every reasonable care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions are accurate. However, specifications may change.

Credit Card Payments
